After 22 years of intense study he met the famous Wushu coach Li Tien Yee, descendant of the Qing Dynasty and original creator of the 24 Yang Style. Li said to him "If you want to study with me you must drop all your previous training. Can you do it?" He answered yes and was then instructed to practice one particular movement continuously which he did for the next 6 years. Having completed this Li then said that he had passed the test and could train with him!
