The secret art of face changing has been heralded as one of China's national treasures by the Central Government. There are only about 100 people in all of China that know the true art form. Master Wai and his partner Anna Chau have taken this art to the next level. Master Wai's ability to change faces 50 times in one performance is unheard of in the art.

The art of face-changing first appeared in the Qing Dynasty about 250 years ago in the Sichuan Opera.

The art form of face changing has become more sophisticated in modern times and has evolved from telling a simple story using paint and powder to change the expression or mood of the character to sophisticated multiple face changes with many masks that not even professional camera crews can unravel the mystery of the changing of faces.
