Health and Education

We develop programs, delivered by our Artists, which are specifically targeted to universities, schools, clubs, health & fitness organisations and corporations. These can run for a week a month a year or anything in between and beyond.

We will work closely with you to design a customised curriculum to suit your needs at any level from beginners to instructors. And we can look to integrate one, or a number, of our Artists into a program that you are planning.

Understanding your needs and working in partnership with you is very important to us. So is taking a very flexible approach to creating a course for any period of time that delivers maximum benefit and enjoyment.

So, if you are a University or an educational body looking to integrate Martial Arts into your physical education curriculum we can work with you to develop it into a structured course. This would not only be delivered by us for the first year, or agreed period, but would also include training and certification of your instructors so that the teaching can continue.

A complete Wushu curriculum is very comprehensive covering a wide spectrum of styles and disciplines (too much to go into here) and could include everything from the basic fundamentals going onto Chang Chuan (Long Fist), Broad Sword and Staff through to Tang Lang Chuan (Preying Mantis), Jiu Jie Bian (9 Section Whip) and Du Lin (Combat Choreography) as well as International Competition forms. The course would also include theory, writing, semester reviews, workshop follow ups, teaching, examinations, competition rules and judging theory.

If you run a Martial Arts or Sports Club we can prepare programs that run from just a week or up to a month or two.

 

Monthly courses could include the following (but not limited to):

Tai Chi Chuan
Yang, Chen and Wu styles, National forms, Applications, Weapons Broadsword, Sword & Spear, Push Hands and Qi Gong.

Baguazhang
Circle walk with palm changes (Single Palm Change, Double Palm Changes and the Eight Mother Palms or the Old Eight Palms). Sixty four Palms two person forms and drills as intermediate steps between solo forms and the practice of combat techniques. Straight Sword, Broadsword, Spear to exotic weapons.

Xing Yi Chuan
5 Element Postures (Splitting, Drilling, Smashing, Pounding & Crossing), 5 Elements Linking Form 5 Elements, Matching Form, 12 Animal Linking Form, Xing Yi Stick and Wudang Stick.

Weekly courses could be simpler versions of the above and designed to target specific disciplines and might look something like this:

Tai Chi Chuan
Just Training or Weapons Forms or Push Hands only

Baguazhang
Just Stepping, Combat, Weapons Training or Form & Applications only

Xing Yi Chuan
5 Elements or Weapons training only

Modern Wushu National Form
Tantui (Leg Flicking Boxing),Chin Na (Grabbing), Da Chen Chuan (Great Accomplishment Fist), San Da (Kick Boxing), Shaolin Chuan (Boxing), Nan Chuan (Southern Boxing), Fanzi Chuan (Tumbling Boxing), Jiu Jie Bian (9 Section Whip) and more.

If you are a Healthcare or Wellness Centre we would like to share with you some of our thoughts as to how Tai Chi Chuan or Qi Gong could be integrated into some of your areas of work. For instance, stress relief programs as well as others could be benefited by introducing a series of Taoist longevity exercises. We can also run a one week seminar for your staff which includes a certification examination at the end.
